This spring, we will organize the Pollack Expo for the 19th time, with this year’s professional program focusing on space research, the space industry, and the related engineering and IT solutions.
A few years ago, the European Space Agency, an organization of the European Union member states, received authorization to further develop space research. To accelerate this process, member states can apply for significant funding—proportional to their contributions—for research activities in this field. This opportunity may open new perspectives for both economic stakeholders and research universities, enabling developments as well as the establishment and operation of laboratories.
Last year, with our faculty's participation, the Pannon Space Lab was established. There is growing interest in data from Earth’s atmosphere, and the information extracted from it may reveal correlations that could lead to significant economic advantages. Already today, many companies incorporate such activities into their operations, and demand for professionals familiar with these technologies is expected to increase in the future. As a result, the labor market is placing growing expectations on university education, and graduates who possess this knowledge and expertise will certainly have a competitive advantage.
The Pollack Expo traditionally serves as a meeting point where our industrial partners can connect with our students and researcher-lecturers, and, through joint professional presentations, learn about the latest trends in engineering.
